This bootcamp will equip students with the knowledge and hands-on skills to master four popular hair extension techniques: tape-ins, micro links, k-tip, and sew-in installs. By the end of this course, students will be able to provide professional extension services with confidence and creativity. Each student will be able to do a model on each luxury install. every install comes with vendor info and extensions for installs.

Week 1

Tape-In Install Mastery class

Session 1: Introduction to Tape-In Extensions

Understanding tape-in extensions: What are they and when to recommend them.
Hair type suitability and selecting the right extensions.
Preparing natural hair and extensions for application.
Hands-on: Sectioning and preparing hair for installation.
Tape-in installation: Proper placement, spacing, and layering.
Blending extensions with natural hair for a flawless finish.
Tape-in extension maintenance tips: How to educate clients.
Removal process and re-taping extensions.
Hands-on: Full tape-in install and removal practice.

Week 2-3

Microlink Install Mastery

Session 2: Microlinks Overview & Installation

Introduction to microlinks: Different types (i.e., bead size and methods).
Ideal candidates and hair textures for microlinks.
Tools needed for a successful install.
Hands-on: Installing microlinks using the beading technique.
How to blend microlink extensions seamlessly with natural hair.
Microlink maintenance: Avoiding damage and preserving the install.
Hands-on: Styling microlinks (cutting, blending, and curling).
Removal of microlinks and reinstallation tips.

Week 4-5

K-Tip Install Mastery

Session 3: K-Tip Install Techniques

Overview of k-tip extensions: Best practices and client consultation.
Tools and prep for K-tip installs.
Hands-on: Sectioning and proper bead placement.
Full K-tip installation practice.
Blending and cutting k-tips to match natural hair texture.

Week 5-6

Sew-In Install Techniques

Certification

Upon completion of the bootcamp, students will receive a certification of mastery for all four installation techniques. Additionally, they will leave with a professional products and tools each student need to begin offering these services.
